Contractions, wow!!

I had no idea they were going to be this bad, because I used to be a doula and felt so confident with natural birth. Now that I'm having contractions for the first time, I'm scared! Especially because I know I'm only in prelabor! 40 weeks today, 2-3 cm and 60%ish effaced yesterday, had a membrane sweep, and this morning around 4 I woke up with terrible gas pains that turned into cramp like contractions. They are getting SOOOOO intense, lasting about 45 seconds to a minute long, coming every 5-7 minutes, but when I go out and walk they change, so I don't even know if I'm in true labor. Midwives want me to call them again in a few hours to keep track of how I'm progressing. UGH!!!
