Should the NFL indefinitely suspend football players who comitt domestic violence?

I have seen a lot of reports recently that has talked about the untouchable aspect of NFL players who comitt violent domestic violence... One in my city Hardy was convicted of domestic violence but it was thrown out in an appeal... Should the NFL hold them accountable for domestic violence? It seems like they are just turning a blind eye.. Thoughts?
