Morning after pill HELP

So I had sex last night (saturday at 7ish) and didn't use protection, it was a heat of the moment thing and by the time I realized the damage had already been done. NOW no pharmacies around me are open today, would the morning after pill be effective tmr?? 24 hrs would have passed and I know its protection up to 5 days after but has anyone been in this situation before and gotten pregnant?
