Help! What bottles and nipples!?!

Question

I'm a FTM, expecting a baby girl in February. I'm hoping to EBF for as long as I can, but know I will need to return to work at some point. I also want to be prepared in case we have a hard time BF.  So, what bottles and nipples are best for breastfed babies?  It seems like Avent and Dr. Brown get highest reviews?  I want to make sure my DD can go between me and a bottle nipple smoothly. I tried 5 different bottles with my little girl and she hated them all and it was mostly the nippled that she hated.  My suggestion is whichever brand you buy get a premie nipple or slow flow nipple too just in case.  She would get super upset because the milk would just pour out at her.  I ended up spending a little bit extra and getting the medela calma nipple because it only releases milk when she sucks and the nipple flattens very much like an actual nipple.  I already had a bunch of medela bottles from my pump and accessory kits so that's why I just stuck with medela.  The nipple has something about it that is supposed to help with air and gas, too.

I use comotomo and LOVE them. They mimick the breast in shape and feel. I highly recommend them!

My son will take just about any bottle but he seems to have the least amount of trouble with and enjoy the Munchkin Latch bottles the most 😊

Tommee tippee first feed bottle has worked the best for us it actually allows my son to suck like he would to breastfeed without spilling any of my "holy milk" since it has an extra slow flow nipple

My baby had severe reflux so the tommee tippie we had arnt usable. We use dr brown now and love them.

I'm using "Latch". There the only bottle my daughter favored. It's also anti-colic so it's perfect.

I ebf but give baby a bottle of pumped milk every once in awhile so her daddy can feed her. We use the Tommy Tippee bottles, or however it's spelled, because they're said to be most similar to the breast. My baby has had no nipple confusion & took to it instantly. She couldn't stand the medela bottle kits. Good luck!
