Pain during sex with certain positions

Hi, I've had the copper coil for over a year now, I have been with my patner for nearly 6 months, He is very large in the downstairs area and I was just wondering if that could effect my coil. During sex some positions we do Really hurt, like I get a sharp stabbing pain like he is pressing into it and it's cutting into my womb?.... Please help!
