Blood on home pregnancy test?

I just read that you can use your blood on home pregnancy test! Has anyone done that?? Where did you get the blood? And how?

My question is. Why should someone put blood on it when peeing on it, is so much easier?! Is there a reason why people put blood? Very confused

Don't do it, it's insane. Just wait until you get a positive pee stick and then go to your doctor for the blood test.

No. Those tests are not calibrated for whole blood. Even a blood test is done by using blood serum to test for pregnancy.

Pregnancy tests that are done on blood are ran off the serum separated from the red cells. I don't think there'd be much point in trying to do it with whole blood.

Not sure but I've read about people doing this since hcg can be detected in your blood sooner than it can be detected in urine? Not sure if it works on an hpt though??
