IUD help

I'm 16 and got the skyla IUD in on September 5th. I read that you can have spotting up to 6 months. I have been non stop spotting since I got it in. Is there any way of know when it will stop or how to make it stop sooner? Please help I'm getting rashes because I'm too scared to use a tampon, even though they say the tampon won't get tangled around the stings. Will my period eventually stop?
