TTC After Depo

So The last Depo shot I had was in May this year. Then when I was supposed to have another I went on the pill for 2 months to try regulate my periods again. I came off the pill in September and now we are TTC. I had no idea how badly the Depo shot can delay fertility it wasn't mentioned when she gave me the options of contraception and I highly regret it as I've heard so many horror stories. Anyway, I've had 3 natural periods since coming off the pill and have been fairy regular 23 day cycles. Does this mean I am ovulating? Wondering whether to do ovulation tests to see if I am ovulating.
