MFM vs Generalist for Cerclage Removal
God is good and it's almost time to get "my little helper" (cerclage) out. I've been seeing a general OB, but also have some MFM doctors on hand that have been there because of my high risk status. I'm wondering if anyone can weigh in on whether it's better to have the MFM Drs remove the stitch (who see this often and have done it many times) as opposed to my generalist who last saw a cerclage 5 years ago. After all this worry and fear in my pregnancy , I just want to have peace of mind and let nature take its course once Lady Cerclage come out. Still, I don't want to hurt my OB's feelings and my husband thinks it's better to just stay with the same doctor for "continuity of care". Any advice? I'm leaving towards MFM, since it's my body and my comfort, but am still unsure.
