Is 19 too young to have a baby?

Question

Is 19 too young to have a baby? What if the mother has a stable job and living arrangement, and has worked in nurserys and daycares since their parent opened one when they were age 8. I'm just trying to gauge how people will react when I tell them. Thanks in advance.

Maturity is a big factor and you sound mature for your age. I know it's easier said than done, but who cares what people will think! People will judge you no matter what you do, even once the baby is born, people will judge your parenting skills. Just keep a good head on your shoulders and worry about your baby and you!  I'm sure you'll be a good mother :)

14-17 are young to have babies. That's my opinion. 18 and 19 are okay because your almost hitting the young adult hood already. Your grown up more and more mature then 14-17 year old pregnant teen moms.

I was 19 when I had my son. Being financially independent is the best thing to be. If you're not that, you will always find yourself struggling and your baby/ child will be in the mix of it

So I'm 19 and will be 20 less than a month after my baby is due. I'm in Univeristy and have passed my first year, my partner will be 22 when our baby is due. So for me personally we know this is going to be difficult, however, I live away from all family, have no financial support from family. Me and my partner have our own house, car and still have money left to play around with after bills and expenses. We've never asked anyone for help. The baby came around when we had a massive pregnancy scare and we were petrified, and I was way too scared to take a test. However then we really warmed up to the idea and decided that it's what we want. So after taking a test and finding out we were not expecting, we tried for a baby for a solid 5 months before then buying a clear blue ovulation test kit(which if you're struggling with conceiving I really do recommend this, it really does reduce the stress of tracking ovulation) and today we found out I was pregnant!Now I know my comment is really long winded but my main point is, if you are happy, if your partner is happy, if you are stable and if it's what you want. Go for it. Don't fear from it because of what people may say. You're not too young, I mean my mum had me at 19 and I'm in univeristy and healthy so she clearly did something right? If you're both ready, don't let anyone stop you. It's your life, everyone else has to accept the paths you choose to take. Don't let anyone choose them for you.

I'm 19 years old pregnant with my first baby (boy 💙) due April 25th, 2016 I couldn't be more ready to be a mommy! I have a full time steady job pays more than minimum wage my fiancé has 2 steady jobs also paying more than minimum wage. When I was in middle school I worked at a day care everyday after school. No matter what you can do anything as long as you put your mind to it, believe me it's tough at first but don't give up just keep trying, when I told my mom she was upset but now she couldn't be more happy to be a grandma, when I told my dad he was angry shoot he's still angry even though I haven't seen him in 4 years 😑😒 but everybody's parents are different you just have to talk to them. And a lot of people will tell you, you can't do it or try to talk you down and tell you how difficult it is or you're too young to be a parent but just take that and turn it into motivation and think about the life you want to give your baby ❤️ trust me you can do it 💕

It all a matter how your mind frame is and how mature you are I was 16 when I got pregnant with my first daughter she 6 now I finished school had my own apt and job at 18  and got married at 18 not the father to her it hey everything works itself out I'm still married

It's good you have a Job and all and I don't judge at all on any of it what worried me was what to do when you have the baby and can't work for a bit etc just me being a worry wort lol
