Anyone else not that excited?
I know and understand that many women on this app/in the forums are thrilled to be pregnant, but I'm not really one of them. Just curious if there are any others.
This pregnancy is the result of contraceptive failure so even though eventually I would have wanted a kid, I don't want one now. Even a year later would have been ok. My boyfriend and I just moved in together and we are still learning how to live with one another. Plus, he really wanted to be married first before having kids--I don't care much about getting married, but I know he was really looking forward to proposing and planning a wedding.
Not that it can't be done later, but it won't be the same as getting married as just the two of us. I already told him not to propose because of the situation or to change his timeframe in any way. I want him to be able to do it on his terms.
Finally, although I'm financially ok, I wanted to finish paying off my grad school loans and save up some money so I could afford a better lifestyle for my future family.
Let's keep this thread a judgment free zone. If you're upset that I'm not happy with the pregnancy then there are plenty of other threads for you to participate in. Thanks :)
