Anyone questioning whooping cough vaccine?

I really hope no one is considering not getting the vaccine. Nor do any family members who will be close to the child give a hard time because this is petrifying.

Vaccines do not cause the illness. The virus or bacteria used are not live, therefore would be impossible to contract from the vaccine. Ignorance is such a shame when it comes to this type of situation. It is extremely important to be vaccinated. All these anti vaxxers are allowing illnesses that have been gone for ages to come back. It's just insane. There is absolutely no reason to not be vaccinated.  I feel very strongly about this.

I chose not to get it during pregnancy because I'm just not comfortable with it. I will be getting it after I deliver though.

I personally refuse to let anyone come visit after getting any vaccine. This is a personal choice and we all have the right to do what is best for OUR family and should respect each others opinion/decisions without scare tactics or making rude comments.

The first time I got the whooping cough shot,  I wound up getting whooping cough,  so for the safety of my baby I didn't get it during my first pregnancy,  and I will not get it with this one either.  They can give the baby it's vaccines when it's born

Definitely getting mine. I'd rather baby gets the vaccine from me and is partially protected when born than has no protection. I'm up to date myself but I don't mind getting an extra.

It's more for adults around baby: dad, grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc. and then if mom doesn't want it during pregnancy, get it after.

I didn't have mine (not through choice!) as I had my baby before I had the chance to get one. I told the midwives and doctors as I was concerned I hadn't had it but they wasn't worried as they said my son would have it before it was an issue thank god! My son is all up to date with his vaccines now anyway. A healthy 20 month old ☺
