Titles

Soo...me and my guy have been dating for a little over two years. We took a broke up in July but we talked and decided we wanted to work towards a relationship again (we've been working on this for about 4 or 5 months now). However, whenever i bring up the topic (seldom)of us officially getting back together he says that our bond is more important than a title. We both compliment as well as love eachother dearly. But i guess I can see it both ways. Yes, titles aren't Everything but at the same time it kind of lets others (who may have alternative motives) know where you and your guy stand. Idk...what do you all think?
