Maternity Photos... Would you bare your belly???

My husband is very into my pregnancy, which I'm so happy for!  But for our maternity photo shoot, he wants to have me show my bare belly!  I'm sooo not that type! I don't take bare belly pics every week (not even with clothes on) Don't get me wrong, I love my child and feel blessed with this pregnancy, but that's just not my thing...

My husband takes my weekly bump shot - we keep them all to ourselves.  Last we he suggested a bare belly - I was not interested, but afterward, glad I did it.  Might be fun to show baby some day!  Perhaps you don't make it public, and maybe it's a quick phone pic instead of a professional maternity pic.  We did a few maternity pics at my shower - I didn't want anything fancy (or bare bellied!)

I'm with you. I take a weekly belly shot for my self but I rarely post them on social media.  When I hired my photographer she asked what I was looking for and the first thing I said was no bare belly shots, not my thing.  On a side note, I've never felt more amazing, beautiful or sexy in my entire life but boudoir maternity has always creeped me out... Feels like I'm looking at some sort of fetish thing. That is FO SHO not for me.

I do bare for my weekly pics that are just personal for me, but for my maternity photos I didn't show my bare belly. Just not my thing. Do what you like. I think my photos turned out beautifully and it's my taste. Maybe do one shot like that if it makes him really happy, but it's about what you're comfortable with!

I only did one bare belly photo when I was pregnant with my daughter because I was embarrassed by my stretch marks. Now I really regret it I wish I got several more done because my belly looks amazing in that one photo!! Good luck!!

I don't understand your discomfort with it, but it's your belly that you are keeping covered, not mine. I personally take bare belly photos every week for my scrapbook as well as show it to my friends and family. It's not like I'm whipping out my coochie or anything 😒 this is NOT the time for me to be modest ✋🏼 hope your photos go well. I'm taking bare belly photos next month at 36 weeks.

Do what makes you comfortable! Maybe have an option of bare belly and not and see which one you are more comfortable in.
