Boy name?

My boyfriends name is James and he wants to name his son James so he can have a "junior." I'm not against the name James but I think it's a little boring. So I thought Jameson (James son) would be better and I think it's adorable. What do you think? And which Spelling? I like the look of Jamison better but Jameson might be better bc it literally means "James son"
