February 14th Baby Shower? Opinions?

Hey ladies! I'm due March 4th and my mom asked what date would be good for our shower. We live 8 hours away from family now (and where the shower would be) and will actually be moving in January to a state that's 10 hours away from family. I was trying to think of a date that wasn't too close to January in case we aren't all moved and wasn't too close to my due date either. So I came up with the 14th.

Now my best friend had her baby shower on February 14th a few years ago and had a good turn out for it.

Would you think it would be an issue? It's a Sunday and the shower would be during the day.

I think my mother in law is scheduling the shower for my husbands side of the family on February 14th. It's a Sunday and during the day. I told her it would be fine! Maybe we will just decorate with hearts since I don't know what we are having!

I am doing my shower on 2/13. But I don't think it matters. If it's in the early afternoon and is only for a few hours - I think you'll be fine.

I was considering that date if there wasn't a Saturday available at the venue I wanted. I think you'll be fine! People have all weekend to celebrate! My husband and I never go anywhere on Valentine's Day because it's so busy everywhere

I personally wouldn't because alot of couples with have plans. I probably wouldn't go to a baby shower that day. What about the weekend before?

I would go to a baby shower on valentine's day as long as it's only a couple hours long and doesn't go into the evening.

Some people take trips or go stay in nice hotels especially if it falls on a weekend.

Just keep that in mind and don't take it personal if someone can't go.

Not during the day on a Sunday - I wouldn't think any way. Most people will probably go out Friday or Saturday night.
