Do you think the random selfie posts are weird?

I've noticed that some users will post a pic of themselves saying stuff like "it's me!" Or "Having a great time!"  Does anybody think it's odd?  I mean, they never get any comments if not, very rare when they do- I've gotten used to seeing it but I'm wondering what others think :)

Friends posting selfies on Facebook or instagram is pretty normal.  The random ones posted in CC on glow just seem like they're attention seeking and fishing for compliments. It's a bit weird and kind of sad.

Me and my mom make fun of selfies! I think they r wierd, especially the bathroom selfies. I take them sometimes bc I'm separated from my husband n kids so I'll take one of me cuddling with my kids stuffed animals n send it to them saying miss u or last one was me in new vehicle to share with hubby I feel only way I can share my tour with him is thru them but normal life I never do them but doesn't bother me that others do it I just keep scrolling
