Am I the rebound?

So recently, I've come in to contact with this lovely guy I've always had the hots for. And we talk all day every day, he says the sweetest things to me, he asked me on a date to "show me off", forever telling me how lovely, beautiful I am. We have a stupid amount in common. Can have a conversation about anything and everything. I've honestly never met someone so sweet, but he's only been single for a month, from a 3 year relationship with the mother of his child? He said it was like over for a long time and they stayed together for the child, but, I don't know. Could I be the rebound?
