Ending depo shot or not ?

I'm thinking about not taking my next dose of the depo shot, it will be my 2nd shot but I heard it takes long to become pregnant after the shot, I want to get pregnant but not soon maybe in a couple of months to a year with my boyfriend. Anyways the shot has stopped my period all together and I don't want it to get in the way of me getting pregnant in the near future, I was on it before years ago and it took me almost 1 year and 6 months to become pregnant with my now (daughter) who is 16 months, and that was only 1 shot ! Please help I need advice
