What do you think when you hear someone refer to his or her baby as a princess or prince?

It literally makes my skin crawl when people call my daughter princess.  She is not a princess!! Was she born into royalty? No! Ughhh my mother in law does it just to tick me off.

Lol. My coworkers were making fun of me today because I told them my only rules for my mother in law buying her clothing - - no animal print and nothing with the words "princess" or "Diva"

I hate it when my 2 year Olds grandma calls her princess! I can't even really explain why, it just irks me! Her dad calls her boo, which also bothers me(I mean she does have a name!). Maybe I just don't want her to get a sense of entitlement because she's  "a princess"? I don't know lol.

My mom calls my baby princess ..its her first grandchild.. We still call her poppy seed haha since the begining of the pregnancy when she was the size of a "poppy seed" 🤓

I never called my boys "princes" but my husband has called our daughter princess for 5 yrs now and I'm pregnant with a girl and he calls her princess when he's talking to her.. "princesa mía" same thing, different language. It's cute.
