LONG DISTANCE HELP

In a couple of months my boyfriend (AKA LOVE OF MY LIFE, FIANCÉ, HUSBAND, FATHER OF MY FUTURE CHILDREN, MY BESTIE) will be leaving for university which is in like, September of 2016. He is the only guy I've had a serious relationship with, and we both don't want to seperate at all. We've talked about getting married and actually having a future together, and the thought of him leaving just terrifies me. I am not sure when we'll be able to see eachother again. Maybe Christmas? Years? How are people able to handle  such a painful situation like that? Will he ever meet someone better?
