Hubby works a holidays

This isn't really seeking advice, just a sad rant. My hubs has to work thanksgiving,  Xmas eve and Christmas. We are expecting our first and it's seriously depressing me that I'm going to every family gathering without him. I know everyone will be talking about baby and I am so sad I'm going to be doing it without him. It's the first time in 4 years we have seen his side for the holidays bc they just moved back from Maine. They don't seem to care that he could get together the night before thanksgiving and planned our dinner while he is working. I really don't want to go without him. To make it worse, he volunteered to work all of them. I'm trying to not be upset with him bc it just makes me so sad that I won't be with him. Crying as I write this. Just sucks.
