At Home Doppler ?

I bought a Sonoline B and it came today! I searched a little and was able to hear the same "wooshy" (best way to describe it!) sound that we heard when my doctor found it 2 weeks ago. At my appointment she said the heart rate was 160-170 range & when I'm doing it the highest I got was 132. Could that be right? I didn't think it would drop that much in a small amount of time but this is my first pregnancy. I'm 12w3d now.

I know there's a chance of picking up your own heartbeat but it's definitely a different sound so I know I found the baby's little heart!

Don't look at the reader.. Its not right until like week we 20 or so... I would say count the beats for 15 seconds and do the math... Mine was like that with my first and his bpm were always 160s when the Doppler never read right...

Count the heartbeat for 6 seconds and multiply it by 10 and that's the heart rate!

YouTube fetal doppler and you will hear the different noises the baby's heart will sound very fast and much like a washing machine yours will be slower and usually in the low to mid 100s

I've been wanting to buy one!! Every review for the Angel Sounds brand makes it sound horrible. But the Sonoline B 3Mhz seems to be pretty good. I'm gonna buy it on eBay as its a pretty good deal at only $35.00 with free shipping. As always though, double check the seller as much as possible!! ;) Thanx!!

The whoosh isn't baby. Baby's heartbeat sounds like a gallop and it's very fast. Also, don't read the screen. It's not accurate until 20 weeks. I've heard try to count heart beat for 6 seconds and then multiply by 10. So, if you hear 2.5 beats per second, times 6 is 15. Then times 10 is 150.
