Really small clots 36 hours after cerclage? No pic

Question

Dr said spotting was ok but didn't say anything about clots. There were 3 but we're really little. Any one have idea if this is still considered ok? I had spotting 2 times after went pee at hospital yesterday and nothing until now. This just came out :-( wasn't going to bathroom. Thanks!

I had my cerclage placed and my specialist explained that clotting is normal as well as bloody & brown discharge after the procedure!! However, my specialist & dr did advise calling and just reporting to them any clots larger than a penny..
I would recommend you at least calling and letting your dr know, at the very least it would ease your mind and if they have any concerns they can see you right away!!

Keep an eye on this. Clots mean you were having some spotting that wasn't expelled/wiped away before the blood coagulated. The coagulated blood formed a clot. A total normal thing.  The cervix is very vascular, especially when pregnant, so bleeding/clots are normal after a procedure. Mark in you phone the time, amount, color of the blood and try to rest. If the bleeding increases call the clinic to speak with the on call MD. Don't worry about bothering them; they are available to answer questions 😊
