Iud painful?

I am thinking about getting an iud soon, how painful is getting one put in? From someone who has never been pregnant

Mine was a very painful insertion. Ask if they can numb you or give you something to soften your cervix. If you've never had children it can be very painful. Always remember that everyone has a different experience. Good luck

Painful but you won't pass out. It's like three bad cramps and then the rest of the day you're just cramping maybe a little bleeding but it's better. I got mines in August and I'm more than happy

It did not hurt to me. Felt a little uncomfortable at the most.

It's very painful to get inserted, but it's over really fast!

And if you get the hormonal ones your periods practically disappear!

It hurt when they put it in but ask if your cervix is small because of so, it will make your cramps literally unbearable. I had my iud for about 3 months before I went back in to get it out. I have Nexplanon now- the implant that goes in your arm and it is much much better!!
