Snow is here!❄⛄ Driving in the snow tips?

It will be my first time driving in the snow! yikes! I'm so nervous!  :/ 😣 any tips/advice?

Drive slow and don't tailgate or slam on your brakes. If you spin out, let off the gas, don't brake, and go in the direction of the spin.

Find an empty parking lot and accelerate/brake to see how your car handles snow. I literally learned how to handle my car in the snow by playing in an empty parking lot with it. No better way to learn how to react than to do it in a controlled situation.

Studded tires really help in the winter. Also putting some weight in the back of your vehicle helps to keep from sliding.

Drive slowly. If there's a line forming behind you, pull over to let them pass and continue slowly until you get a good feel of how your vehicle handles in the snow. Increase speed as you get more comfortable. When coming to a turn or stop, double the distance you normally start braking at in case it's slippery or icy and again, always approach slowly. I live in the mountains of NC And even if it doesn't snow a lot we are bad to have ice throughout winter. Just make sure your tires are good if you don't have 4 wheel all wheel or front wheel drive and it gets bad I suggest stay in if they call for it to be bad be sure you stay ahead of the weather. Don't be to nervous be various and slow but nervous can cause an over reaction that can cause you to wreck. Best advice though is just stay in if its to bad and your not comfortable
