When to tell?

Just tested positive two days ago. I am only 4 weeks along and have to wait until Dec 22 until my first dr apt. I am dying to tell my mom as soon as possible but my husband feels like he doesn't want to jinx anything and has asked to not discuss it for another week. I feel really bummed and am having a hard time how to hide it from close family/friends through the holiday season.  Especially when all of our friends have plans to go out for drinks and I feel like I just want to isolate myself right now until I process everything and know that everything is okay. Is this normal?

My husband also wants to wait to tell people. I'm trying really hard to be respectful of his wishes and feelings but it can be hard. I'm excited and want to tell everyone. You could still go out and order cranberry and seltzer water or something like that. Just go with your on antibiotics and can't drink. Or something along those lines. Isolation can lead to depression, it's okay to be happy and have a secret with your husband. Just remember he's a part of this too and his feelings matter.
