Does the term "Feminist" have a positive or negative connotation in your opinion?

I am a feminist and it has many meanings. For example equally through sexes, saying beauty comes in many shapes and sizes. And we aren't just equality for women. We say that it's your choice to be strong and manly, it's not bad to be a male and cry, it's your choice to love who you want, were against all rape. And we want equality FOR ALL!!!!!!

"Feminist" has negative connotations because anti-feminists who want women to remain unequal spread negative stereotypes about feminists that has made it into the vernacular. It's just like how some people have turned "politically correct" into a bad word.

As for "equalist" instead of "feminist", It's like saying "all lives matter" instead of "black lives matter". It's negating the problem at hand.

Positive hundred percent and who says negative doesn't understand the term. Feminist is a woman who dislike that our society is strongly patriarchal and men have way higher wages for same position and performance as women. Feminist is a person who disagree with women's position in society of many countries and stereotype that women are only good for cooking and doing laundry. So tell me what's negative on it?!

I think if a person is educated and does their research they'll realise that strands of feminism can be negative, and some can be positive.

Mainstream feminism, oftenly associated with white feminism, I would say is negative. It's exclusive doesn't really aim to help many people.

Intersection feminism I would say is positive, it's inclusive and aims to continue being progressive to help oppressed/marginalised people in society.

Personally, the term 'feminist' is like a good word gone bad. At first, I had such high hopes for feminism and the feminists that supported it. But time, experience, and research showed me that all too often 'feminist' means a person that supports 'White Feminism™' and not someone that actually wants equity for all people (despite gender, race, class, ability, etc factors). So my mind has made the association of 'feminist' with 'White Feminism™' which carries a very negative connotation to me. It often makes me second guess their stances and intentions, and if no examples of inclusion are forthcoming, then the association is reinforced. 
This association is also one of the reasons why I identify as a Womanist instead of a feminist, as Womanism is inherently inclusive whereas mainstream feminism (aka White Feminism™) is not.
