Does your MD measure your belly

Hello. I was just wondering if doctors usually measure your belly at appointments? I am 4 months pregnant with twins and although I have only seen my doctor 3 times she has never measured my belly. Is that strange? Im huge already, we already established that, but is it important to measure or is that kind of old school?

I believe they start measuring after 20 weeks.

With my son they didn't measure until later when my uterus was around or above my belly button

They generally don't start measuring until around 20 weeks. I'm not certain about twins though.

My dr barely even touches me. She just does a quick ultrasound, tells me what tests I need to have done, and then runs off to her next appt.

I haven't had it done yet this pregnancy but if I recall correctly, with my last pregnancy I don't think they started measuring until I was close to the end.. Maybe 7 months.
