Is it weird I feel this way?

As my due date is getting closer I sometimes think about my s/o standing there holding my leg and getting to see my lady parts under that big flattering light in all it's glory and I'm embarrassed already I've always been kind of a shy person maybe that's why but I can't get over this feeling

This is my 4th,  hubby's 2nd.  For his first I kept prepping him for the blood and so on.  After our daughter popped out he looked right at me and said that's it?  After all those videos you made me watch and that's it.  Both the doctor and I cracked up.

Mine gets to see me cut open and baby removed. Should be fun. They married or stayed with you for all your parts, not just the pretty ones

I was soooo worried about showing any part of myself during labor. I didn't have any friends or family in the room any time the blanket was moved off of my lap or during the pushing stage, only the doctors. I was way too shy. Until there were complications with me and my baby and about 20 doctors and nurses rushed into the room. I feel that way this pregnancy too even though I know it's pointless. Unfortunately you're just going to be in an uncomfortable situation but just let people around you know how you feel. Keep the visitors and doctors to a minimum and focus on bringing your beautiful baby into the world, I promise it's not as bad in the moment as it feels like it will be.

I think about it too from time to time but my hubby has said he's not going to look this time. Our first child he sat in the rocking chair next to me rocking with the most terrified look on his face. He only stood up after Landon flew out of my lady bits. Then as they were cleaning my son my doctor called his name right before she started sewing me back up. In his words it wasn't even a hole anymore it was a big bloody hole and he can go his whole life without seeing that again. So he has told me he'll do exactly the same thing this time come February except he will not turn around to the sound of his name 😂😂😂

I totally understand. With our first born we got pregnant within a week of dating so we had only been together for 10 months and I was terrified that if my squeamish boyfriend saw me deliver in all its glory that he would be grossed out or whatever. I pushed for 4 hours with her and he was there every step of the way and never made me feel weird about it. It's a way for them to see what you are capable of and what you endure to bring their child into this world. And like other comments said really by the time rolls around you could care less who is watching you just want the baby out and in your arms!
