Advice ?

Me and my Ex were together for about a year I lost my virginity to him we broke up on a kinda bad note but after that we become good friends with our Occasionally fights there and there but we would always come back together as friends we do have sex time time is this a bad thing should I stop? He's been a good friend and been there for me but can you really be friends with your Ex?
