Does your husband have kids in his previous marriage?

Hi lately I've been feeling very emotional and I have been thinking too much. My husband has and oldest son that's 19 but that's the least of my worries his youngest son is 11 they are both happy with the news that I am expecting but I just feel so  weird. at moments I just feel like my child will be like a stranger to them. His youngest son is very manipulative and I am afraid he will begin with jealousy action. Is anyone going through something similar?!

My husband's kid is 9. We have him every other weekend.

I worry about the jealousy too. So far he seems likes he's adjusting to the idea of a new baby just fine. I've found a few simple things that I think help.

1. Before pregnancy I would make a big sunday breakfast for us on his weekends. I still do that. Start a small tradition that's just for your step kid and stick with it. After baby comes I might not make as big a breakfast, but I'll still do it.

2. Make sure your step kid gets time with dad alone. Doesn't have to be a whole lot, like a movie, or you could leave them home and go grocery shopping.

3. Ask your step kids opinion on nursery things. Like wall color or bedding theme. You don't have to go with their suggestion, but you can tell they enjoy feeling included in the decision making.

I'm not by any means a perfect step parent, but I'm trying.

I have a stepson who is 7. He is already jealous because anytime he is at our house and I'm holding my husbands hand or cuddling he gets right in the middle or tells his dad he needs something. I'm not worried though it's normal behavior because he is used to being his dad's only kid. I have a daughter and he gets upset when she sits on my husbands lap. She's only three but I know it bugs him.

My fiancé had a two year old that we have 50/50 custody of. Im afraid how she's going to treat the baby because she's always been the center of attention. I also think her mom is going to pump hateful things into her head about her sibling but I'm hoping for the best.

My husband does. I have a 9 almost 10 year old stepdaughter. Now she lives with us though and visits her mom every other weekend. We waited 4 years to have our first because of custody battle and things like that. She had some jealousy but not bad, which would actually be normal even if she was my biological because she was an only child for 8 years! We just included her in literally everything!! We have done that this go around as well and it really helps! She is an amazing big sissy to our 19 month old. I have always treated her as my own and that will never change. I think it is all about how you handle it. Good luck!!!

My fiancé has a son from a previous relationship, his mom is expecting a baby as am I (I'm due first) but I know as soon as he's not the center of attention in both houses he's going to act up. I was told by my fiancés baby momma that his son has been yelling at a 7 month old telling it to stop crying and shut up. So I'm pretty nervous about him doing it to his little brother. I'm really hoping he doesn't.

My boyfriend has three kids from his previous marriage..... 24, 21 and 16 (he's 46 I'm 29) the two older ones are good with our new baby but the youngest hasn't spoken to either of us in almost 6 weeks BC of our new baby....and she just moved all her stuff out of our house while we were away visiting my family. 😒

My fiancee has a 4 year old from a previous relationship. I'm worried thst shes going to be jealous of the baby since we only see her on the weekends and he used to be very jealous of me. Plus he family doesn't seem as excited as I thought they would be. My fiancee said that since they already had the first grandchild they aren't as excited about this one
