First prenatal appointment

Ok according to my calendar I'm 10 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I also have my first prenatal appointment.... As soon as I found out that I was pregnant I called the doctor and scheduled  an appointment the receptionist told me that the doctor doesn't like to see people to soon so they gave me the appointment till tomorrow.... Does this happened to you?? Am I going to listen to the heart beat??
