Last name?

Question

So I've been with my boyfriend for just over a year, but I'm not too sure on whos surname to use. A lot of people I know tend to use their own name but I'm not sure I think that's fair. My mind changes everyday, but I blame that on the hormones lol. I have no idea what to do. What's your thoughts?

If your in a healthy relationship, aka he isn't abusing you verbally, mean to you, emotionally bothers you, etc and plans on forever being in the kids life, then I would say dads last name. If I got pregnant a year into saying the man I'm with now, I would hands down use his name. He's a wonderful man and we were planning a future together, etc. We are married now after 6 years of dating. 
My friend got pregnant at 18. The man that knocked he up was a boyfriend of four years and he was awful. Irresponsible, cruel, abusive. She gave her baby his last name because she felt it was the traditional thing to do and within the babies first year of life, daddy disappeared. She regrets not using her name. Her child is now tagged with a douchebags name. Think long and hard - its really only up to you and what your gut feeling tells you about the future. Think for life. Do you see this guys as being reliable for the rest of your life. The rest of your child's life? Not just "well we want to move in together." How is he as a person? A man? Hard working? Kind? Father material? Even if you both don't work out as a couple, is he a good enough person to always lo e and support a child? Only your gut knows. Don't listen to any other opinions except your own.

I gave my daughter her fathers last name. Baby number two will also get his name. We've been together 12 years now and still aren't married lol. I'll be the last to get his name I guess!

If he is planning on being a part of baby's life (and isnt abusive or anything) Id say his surname but totally your call :)

If you think you really are going to stay with him, then his, if it makes sense that you will be married. Otherwise use your own.
