First prenatal appointment... Is your hubby/child's father attending with you?

I had an ultrasound before I even made an OB appointment so my BD went to that. My first OB was today and lasted all of 20 mins. I'm glad he didn't come lol it was a waste of him taking off work. I have another ultrasound at 11wks that he is coming to.

Yep. When I booked the appointment they told me 'bring your new patient forms, bring your insurance, and bring your husband." 
I asked "bring my husband?" 
And she said "yep. Bring your husband. Well be doing a sonogram". 
The appt is next week.

Do people do this? Maybe I should have my husband take off work. It's only in the am. How important is it? This is our second.

With my 2yo my husband came to the first appt and the anatomy scan and I did the rest on my own, we'll do the same thing this time.

My husband is staying home with our other two children for this visit. Will hopefully be attending all the important ones though.

So far my husband has been to every appointment with me. For one thing he works at the hospital I go to, and for another I get some pretty bad anxiety and need him there as a source of comfort to me. I live in this state away from all family and friends so he's all I have. Also, he is enjoying being a part of this whole process and seeing the baby at every ultrasound. Couldn't imagine him not being there.

Not sure if he has to work or not :/ he's a train conductor. My mom and daughter are going with me for sure :)

My husband has to work and won't be able to go to my first appointment, unless he decides last minute to take off....

Yes, but, he is just going to be in the room for the questions and ultrasound. Maybe for my blood being drawn. Everything else I'll do on my own lol
