Period help..

I was 6 days late starting my period and there was light spotting so I thought maybe I could be pregnant but took a test and came back negative. Well yesterday I started and it's been lighter than usual and I feel like I'm almost done when usually my periods last for 4-6 days. Does anyone have any ideas what it could possibly mean?
