Do you agree with the state of Oregon about having the Death with Dignity Act? Which allows terminally Ill patients to end their lives through the voluntary self-administration of lethal medications, expressly prescribed by a physician for that purpose.

(Children are also included in this so keep that in mind)

I am 100% for this, I always thought it was silly that you can't have control over your own life or lack there of, some of these people are miserable and in pain and don't want that to be the last memories that there families have of them.

Yes 100%. It give there family time to cope and say goodbye, while allowing the person to essentially end their suffering. No one should be forced to induce a pain so unbarable that they contemplate killing themselves in a horrific way. They should be able to die with dignity.

Yes! If someone wants to end their suffering on their own terms instead of leading a painful, drawn out short rest of their life then that is their choice and they should be able to make it. If you don't like it than don't do it.

I watched, "How to Die in Oregon", it was heartwrenching. I get it, 100%. Yes, I support it. I believe every person should be granted this right.

Of course. It's humane. I wish we would do something like this. They won't even clarify the law about helping relatives get to Switzerland to do it

I'm an ICU nurse and have watched so many people die slow painful deaths. I agree with this as long as it's properly regulated.

I also want to see DNRs more respected. You would think a legal document stating exactly what you want would be followed but too many times I saw family overrule it. Do not make someone your power of attorney if they won't follow your DNR. That's all I can say.

Im 100 % for it. Why would you want to see a terminally ill person in pain when you know there is nothing the medical professionals can do?
