Smear test?

My doctor advised me to get a smear test, I watched a video on what it is and I'm actually scared to get it done. Does it hurt? Is it necessary to get it done?

It doesn't really hurt :) the speculum feels weird, and a little uncomfortable but not painful. The 'smear' doesn't really feel like anything. For me it doesn't hurt just feels kinda funny.

I don't think it hurts. I actually laughed once and told the doctor it tickled. Lol it just seems scary. And yes, you should get it done. It just tests the cells on your cervix to see if they are normal or abnormal. It's good to do just in case.

Nothing to be worried about, tickles a little bit in a weird way but doesn't hurt

The more you relax the easier it will be, it's not painful at all, some people might find it uncomfortable.
Best to be checked and told nothing's wrong then leave it and something be wrong ( that's how I see having tests done)
