My honey takes things to an extreme.

So I opened up to my husband about needing a girl date trying to give him a heads up that I'd like him to watch our 2 year old daughter. Instead of the oh ok I got "you want a break from me and your kid?" " why can't you just hang out with me" " if you need a break I'll leave and take her with me" now I'm afraid to even talk to him in fear he will take it out of context. I've told him that I'd love a date night with him as well but also want to have a girl day to reboot myself. Any suggestions, cause I'm lost.
