Not preventing

My sig other and I haven't used any form of protection now for about 8 months and I still haven't gotten pregnant.. I don't wanna say we are actively trying but we aren't preventing at all. I've had baby fever for awhile now and am at a point where each month i hope for a late period/positive result..every month my period keeps getting later it seems so I get my hopes up but then next thing I know af arrives..I just found out that a girl that I know who hasn't even been actively trying is now pregnant...i hate saying it hurt my feelings but I can't help but feel upset that she is and I'm not..idk what to do..should me and my bf schedule an appt to make sure everything's "working correctly"?
