Honest opinions please
So I'm looking for some opinions on if I'm being selfish here or have any right to be irritated. I'll try to make this short. Our cousins (who we are very close with) offered us any of their old baby stuff they had since they were done having kids and it was taking up room in their basement. Of course my husband and I were thrilled since we have nothing and this would help a lot financially. Plans were made to go take what we wanted this weekend. My husband just got a call from his cousin saying we couldn't have it anymore. Her sister (our other cousin) has been trying to get pregnant for 2.5 years with no luck and got very upset with her when she found out they were going to give us that stuff because she was hoping to have it someday and she doesn't want us to have any of it. I totally get she is stressed as it is having not been able to get pregnant yet and ideally she would already have a baby by now. But I'm also pretty irritated that we aren't getting any of it now because of this. Obviously we would be more than happy to pass it along when/if she becomes pregnant or not take certain things that may be more sentimental. In the end, I'm not going to push the issue or try to get anything at this point unless it's offered later, but do I have a right to be irritated by all of this or am I being entirely selfish?
