How would you or your SO feel if??

Question

My OB and I both speak German and my husband speaks very little German. Even though German is my "second" language I grew up speaking it at home. Sometimes it's hard for me too ask questions in English because the translate better for me in German. How would you/or your SO feel if you spoke another langue with your Dr once in awhile and the other person had no idea what you are saying? 
I don't want too hurt his feelings and he says he understands but I don't think he really does. 🙄

Just translate straight away. It winds my husband up when we go to France and I am going on in French and he can't understand so I translate everything as I am going

My husband is also German, when he is with family, they speak German, but also our home language. It is at times so frustrating when I can't catch what they are saying, but other times I'm relaxed. So maybe if you can, speak engliah, or the language that your SO also speaks out of respect, so that he/she can understand. With this especially at the dr. I for one will not be impressed if my hubby spoke German to our dr, and I can't make head or tails, and leave more frustrated and anxious after the appointment
