Biological clock is ticking loud!!

I'm 30 years old and just got out of a 6 year relationship. I always thought that I didn't want kids and about 3 months ago I start obsessing over wanting a baby and it's all I think about.  My problem is that if I want to have a kid than I don't want to deplete my savings trying with a dr and paying for a donor and shipping is expensive enough.  ALL of my friends are married with kids and I get left out of so much. Am I crazy to try this on my own?
