WANTED: unbiased, truthful information on Planned Parenthood
I want to know the truth about Planned Parenthood. I have my beliefs about abortion, pregnancy, women's health all lined up, that's not the problem; but I have heard so many ridiculous, inconsistent claims about planned parenthood by countless people and sources. I have heard that they are "selling baby parts", that they're keeping fetuses alive to harvest tissue from them later, I've heard that they are an "abortion giant" and our tax dollars are paying for women to have abortions... But I've also heard that only 3% of their services are abortion related. I've heard that their main goal is to help women prevent pregnancy, and also that tax dollars don't actually go toward abortions.
What is true? Why is all of this information so inconsistent? What other organizations are similar to PP, and why is the media targeting them specifically?
If anyone has unbiased sources they would like to share on here for the sake of education, that would be great.
