Is it ok for newborn to sleep in pack n play?

Instead of a crib, we decided a pack n play would be more functional. Portable, he can grow with it, etc. But is it too big? Is it safe for a tiny newborn?

It's completely fine that's what we are using  it has a bassinet feature and I love it especially since we are limited on space.

We are using a rock n play next to our bed for the first couple months. That's what we had to use with our daughter because of her congestion. As long as there isn't anything around them that could get on their face and suffocate them, babies can safely sleep pretty much anywhere. Heck, people used to put them in dresser drawers!

No I plan on letting mine sleep in her pack n play in my room we weren't even going to buy a crib till glammma wanted to decorate her bedroom and bought us one without asking.

A baby can sleep anywhere. As long as there is nothing that can fall over his face/smother him. You could put him on a blanket on the floor and he would be fine!

I am using the pack n play for my baby it has the bassinet attachment he can sleep right next to my bed for the first few months

We used a pack n play with bassinet with our first two and will be doing it again. Baby will look tiny all swaddled up in it, but it's totally safe.

When older, I would look into a little mattress for the pack n play. They are about $25 and they make it much more comfortable for bigger babies and toddlers

We r using a pack n play. We have two bedrooms but I don't want to convert the other into a baby room yet it's for our guests. So we r using pack n play first in our room and I love it. The features are awesome and he can use it to play in later. Pretty cool
