Sick right before labor begins...?

Question

In our lamaze class we were told that some moms get flu-like symptoms before labor starts. Well today I'm 38+5 weeks pregnant and have been feeling a cold coming but this morning I woke up feeling bad. I goggled "cold prior to labor" and got a mixed review. I then thought of you guys since we're having December babies (and it's getting colder/the season).

I am sick right now with a cold but my roomate brought it home. No signs of labor as of yet. 37 weeks

Maybe they mean that diarrhea and committing can sometimes be part of early labor and that would feel like the flu. I've not heard that cold symptoms indicate labor is coming.

I've had a cold since last week and so far nothing😔😷. 40weeks today too. However, I was sick the day I went into labor with my first. Maybe a fluke?

I've got a cold/sinus infection but no signs of labor yet..hoping this is true lol
