Clomid and dr visit

I took the clomid on cycle day 5 like they told me and did the baby dance when I was suppose to. So I went to the dr today which is cycle day 23 for me. I started having some light spotting and bad cramps, which i thought might be implantation bleeding. They told me it could be late ovulation and to wait until I am at 40 days and then test to see if I'm pregnant. I just feel like they took my situation lightly so I went and bought a pregnancy test. Wish me luck I hope it's positive!!!
