When was your first?

At how many weeks was your first OB appointment? Is 6 weeks too early to go? Im just anxious to get there.

I don't have my first appointment with the OB until 12 weeks. I met with a pregnancy educator at week 8 after having my pregnancy confirmed by my family doctor at week 7. I won't have an ultrasound until week 20. Different than a lot of moms on here, but that's okay.

Depends on when you set up the appointment. My first child was like 4mo because I was 16 and scared to tell my mom. My 2nd was 12 wks. And this one was 8.

Call you OB. They most likely won't see you until you're between 7-9 weeks. They aim for 8 weeks. I've personally never heard of an OB doing sooner unless you're high risk and they ask you to come in sooner, if something is wrong, or if you go to a pregnancy resource type center for an ultrasound.

I was 7 weeks. The earlier you are, if they do an inter-vaginal ultrasound, it's harder to determine if there are problems and you may get worried as they don't always see the heart beat before 7/8 weeks.
