When is to late?

I am 11 days late and from what I thought I have seen are BFN!!! when should I just give up? Iv been TTC  for 2 years and Im getting tired of being let down :( shouldn't my test be coming back positive if I'm so late and pregnant cause the HCG doubles every day?? :(

I'm 9 days late, still getting BFN and AF still hasn't reared her ugly head. It's frustrating. But my son didn't show up on a pregnancy test (not even a blood test) until I was almost finished with my first trimester. My levels were just so low.
