My husband and I have been trying for Baby #3 since July 2014. We had our daughter December 31, 2013. Got Mirena in at my 6 week post partum appointment. Removed end of June 2014. Cycled normally July 2014. Since then, periods have been regular, every 28 days, on time, ovulation about 14 days into cycle (according to First Response Ovulation tests). However, in May, I missed my period. Tested negative several times. Went an additional 30 days without a period (total of 64 days) had a normal flow cycle (5 days of normal flow) in June. (April had a cycle, not again until June) then didn't cycle again until August (again about 62 days) with normal flow cycle. Then after a normal cycle, 10 days later I cycled again, this time it was HEAVY and lasted 9 days. Since September, I have bled every 10-19 days. Heavy flow for about 7-9 days. Saw a doctor yesterday and she said she wants to wait and see if it continues, since this last gap, between bleeding, was about 20 days apart. Part of me is frustrated nothing was done, as it has already been a year and a half of TTC and now we have to wait longer. But she said progesterone could hinder ovulation, if it is occurring. Is it the right choice to wait? Has anyone gotten pregnant or had an experience with cycles such as this? I'm beginning to lose hope......

I cannot take Estrogen BC (which many doctors would prescribe to restart cycles) due to a history of Pulmonary Embolism.
